Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

situated learning

finds documents containing 'situated' or 'learning'

 

situated or learning

same as above

 

situated and learning

finds documents containing both 'situated' and 'learning'

 

situated not learning

finds documents containing 'situated' but not 'learning'

 

(situated not learning) and peripheral

finds documents containing 'peripheral', plus 'situated' but not 'learning'

 

legit*

finds documents containing words starting with 'legit'
