Writing Rubric for Math—A State of Mine

 

The web site is scored on a 4-point scale:

 

4: All requirements met.

3: Most requirements met; errors and deviations are minor.

2: Some requirements met or there are several obvious errors.

1: Few requirements are met or failed to address essential elements of the assignment.

0: No attempt.

 

If an item is worth multiple scores, please write the total score under the correct column. For instance, if an item were worth two scores and the student work ranked a “3”, then under the “3” column, a total score of “6” would be written.

 

 

1)      Mechanics

 

a)      paragraphs use a topic sentence, fully developed body and closing sentence

b)      details supported what was said

c)      details of like content were organized together

d)      made use of descriptive language, strong verbs and specific nouns

e)      correct grammar

f)        correct spelling and punctuation
