Web Site Rubric for Math—A State of Mine

 

The web site is scored on a 4-point scale:

 

4: All requirements met.

3: Most requirements met; errors and deviations are minor.

2: Some requirements met or there are several obvious errors.

1: Few requirements are met or failed to address essential elements of the assignment.

0: No attempt.

 

 

 

1)       Technical

a)       Home page.

i)         Top web page is named with the name of your mathematician

b)       File Names.

i)         All file names use small letters only.

ii)       no spaces in file names.

iii)      only permissible characters are letters (a-z), numbers( 0-9), and underscore (_).

c)       Load time no longer than 30 seconds over a 28.8 modem.

2)       Fonts, Formatting and Styles.

a)       Headings use standard HTML commands (<H1>, </H1>, etc)

b)       Formatting is done with style sheets

c)       Bold face is not used excessively

d)       Underlining is never used.

e)       Fonts do not blink or use other distracting attributes.

3)       Graphics

a)       Thumbnails linked to larger pictures are used for large photos.

b)       Pictures are shown at full size, not by dragging the handles.

c)       Graphics (including background graphic) contribute to the page appearance and content.

a)       Navigation has the same look every page.

b)       Each page has links to the top page in the your web.
